With the current political climate and polarization, shams provides a safe space for people to have tough conversations and express themselves. This leads to constructive dialogue and the opportunity to learn about other people’s perspectives.”

“I like being a host because I love hosting people in my house and organizing events. I have the opportunity to work with volunteers who come to help me prepare for the event or who would like to facilitate. This provides me with the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds and different views.”
